The 1st Sheldon Scout Group has been providing quality Scouting in the Sheldon area of Birmingham for over 90 years, and we are extremely proud of our history and heritage.
We are entirely staffed by volunteers, who all hold DBS Certificates and have extensive training.
Scouting provides a fun way to make friends and try many new activities and experiences, giving our young people a sense of achievement through a progressive badgework scheme, followed by the opportunity to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award through our affiliated Explorer Scout Unit.
There are many ways that you can become involved with the group as an adult, incuding Leadership Roles, Management and Committee Roles, maintaining our purpose built headquarters and supporting roles assisting with the many activities that we provide.  Volunteers are welcome whether you have an hour a month, or an hour a day
We also have a Scout Active Support Group who run social actiities for the adults in the group.
If you think you might enjoy being involved, please contact us
